ftr42 - On the Right Road
This podcast was inspired by a simple photo. But that photo got me to thinking about the road I was on, then the road I wanted to be on, and finally the road in between. Special thanks to Jeff, aka TruckerTwoTimes, for taking the photo.
Life is not one road, but many roads. Some roads are smooth, some roads are unpaved and full of potholes, and then we have the semi rough roads inbetween. Right now I feel my road is unpaved, full of potholes and my suspension is shot. But I know that smooth roads are ahead and I can wait to get there. May your roads always be smooth.

I'm tired of all the financial mess. The CEO's and politicians who got us into this mess need to fix it!
WTF?
I usually don't do political stuff, but with the nations financial crisis as it is, I couldn't resist. Politicians fucking things up, CEO's fucking things up, Wall Street greed fucking things up! Meanwhile, the average every day worker can't afford a home, struggles to put gas in their car, and cut back on everyday essentials, something has to be fixed and fixed NOW! Please use your vote in November wisely.
At my day job, I'm looking at (maybe) a weekly raise that won't fill my gas tank, a monthly raise that can't buy one share of Apple stock, and a yearly raise that doesn't equal one months rent. I wonder how this will affect my motivation to work harder? Where is my golden parachute and bailout plan? Maybe I just have to use the bucket in my garage.

My name is Todd. I am a new media producer and also work in the corporate world, currently in technical services which means I answer questions all day long. As of today I have estimated that I have answered over 40,000 calls. I hate my job!
I am a producer, a photographer, a videographer, a writer, a podcaster, a blogger, a techno-evangalist, an Apple fan, a NASCAR fan (go #88), an Amateur Radio Operator (Ham), retired military, and most importantly a human who occupies space on planet earth.
I currently live in Southern California, but I was born and raised in Florida. Some people say I am a redneck, but I prefer to believe I have strong southern values. I have lived in Florida, California, Rhode Island and Mississippi. I have been to Europe, stood on the Eiffel Tower, walked across London Bridge, and have seen enough middle eastern sand to last a lifetime. I have driven a good portion of Route 66, hunted submarines during the Cold War, and piloted a 400ft ship thru the Suez Canal. I have rode or driven everything from a motorcycle up to a tractor-trailer on land and canoe to 400ft warship on sea.
My podcasting heroes are Lance Anderson, Trucker Tom, and Norm Augustinus.

What Happened?
I know I haven't visited the page in awhile, I've been busy with my other podcast, the PT CruiserCast, but why does WordPress keep failing on me? So now I've had it, no more wordpress!!!! Yeah sure, it's easy to use, easy to upload entries, but it's a pain in the ass to reload, I've tried and tried and tried and achieved complete failure each and every time. So I've had it and sticking with what I know. So here we are. Welcome Back!
